June 8, 2019 Concert at All Souls Church

(Gospel Road)

The July 6thSaturdays at Six Concertat historic All Souls Church (61 Main Street, Stony Brook) will feature Tom Manuel and his new ensemble Gospel Road. The group brings together a wonderful mix of some of the most impressive performers from the scenes of jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel and western traditions and is very much so inspired by Manuel's childhood growing up in the Pentecostal church. Featured prominently in the band are musicians and local favorites Taylor Ackley, Steve Salerno, Buddy Meriam, Keenan Zach, Matt Godfrey, Darrell Smith, and Laura Landor. Gospel Road presents a wonderfully nostalgic mix of instrumentals adorned with a classic presentation of vocal harmonies with just a touch of story telling and humor.

There will be a 15-minute intermission and refreshments will be served.

Please join us for a free (donations accepted) memorable night of classical brass music and fellowship in the historic Stanford White-designed chapel.  The program will begin promptly at 6:00pm. All Souls Church collects food each week to help feed the hungry at the St Cuthbert’s food pantry. Please bring a can of food to donate if you want to help feed the hungry in our community.  “Lend a hand, bring a can.”
