Lauren Kinhan's remarkable vocal career has run the gamut from her 24 year long partnership with the Internationally acclaimed New York Voices, her special guest artist appearances with Ornette Coleman and Kenny Rankin, to her successful songwriting career, 3 solo CD recordings and counting.  Famed producer Phil Ramone signed Lauren on the spot at the iconic Bitter End in NYC, naming her a true songstress, and thus began her original path.   Plan on getting to know Lauren better as she is taking up residence at the Loft with a changing program to be featured monthly.  High on the list is her latest project she is writing paying tribute to the great Nancy Wilson with friend and topflight pianist Andy Ezrin.  Rounding out the A Team is master drummer Matt Wilson and creative move and shaker bassist Ben Alison.  Having these guys make the trek is not only a special thrill for the music that we will be presenting, but an opportunity for the community to hear world class talent in their own backyard.  Join us as we shape "A Sleepin' Bee, The Nancy Wilson Story" in the "Stone Jug" of Stony Brook.  Other programs to be announced as the dates near.  To learn more about Lauren, visit LaurenKinhan.com and to learn more about New York Voices, visit newyorkvoices.com.
