Jordan Young ~ DRUMS

In the last 10 years drummer Jordan Young has been making a name for himself as one of the premier jazz drummers in New York City. He has performed and recorded as sideman for many top jazz artists such as Javon Jackson, Steve Wilson, Steve Nelson and Peter Bernstein. Jordan has recorded three albums as a leader. His debut recording entitled "The Jordan Young Group" was self released in 2010."Cymbal Melodies" (2013) and "Jazz Jukebox" (2016) were both released on the Posi-Tone record label. Jordan’s  trio formation is inspired by all the great classic organ groups from the 60's and 70's. Artists such as Big John Patton, Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Larry Young and Melvin Rhyne to name a few

 

George Papageorge ~ HAMMOND B3 is a jazz blues funk and rock piano player and organist based in New York City. He has performed on stage and on 25 recordings, and has toured and recorded with and co written music for soul singer Mighty Sam Mc Claim and soul/jazz guitar legend Melvin Sparks. Papageorge’s debut album Snowstorm Blues was released in September

 

Hendrik Helmer ~ GUITAR is a electric and acoustic guitarist who incorporates a wide range of Blues and Jazz styles into his own playing and songwriting. Hendrik performed from a young age on and toured extensively in Europe until his late 20’s. Moving to NYC in 1998 has led him to play with artist such as Carly Simon, Maxwell, Paul Shaeffer and -  to his Carnegie Hall debut in 2014. In 2015 he started working for Madonna’s children as the “house” guitar teacher!

He released 3 Solo albums and dozens of albums as a sideman. His most downloaded acoustic song “Tribute to Heath Ledger” topped in Australia and New Zealand in 2008.

 

Together they will be performing Organ Jazz classics that range from Booker T, Jimmy Smith to Al Green and original compositions by Hendrik Helmer!
