Operation Creole Love Song

Operation Creole Love Song is the Jazz Loft’s outreach to the country of Haiti which was started in 2017. The Jazz Loft has partnered with a school in Carrefour which is just outside the capital city of Port au Prince. Specifically, the Jazz Loft has established a music program providing the school with the musical instruments as well as funding and support to maintain the program. Students can learn to play the trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, bass, drums and other instruments. Political climate allowing, the Jazz Loft Ambassadors embark upon an annual trip to the school. The Loft Ambassadors are music educators and performers who travel to Haiti not only teach music but to aid in humanitarian efforts as well. Throughout the year the Jazz Loft sends barrels with school supplies, clothing and sneakers, food, instruments supplies and other needed items to support the students and people of Carrefour.
