The Interplay Jazz Orchestra has the distinction of being the only Long Island Big Band performing original compositions and arrangements written by members of the band.  Their latest release, “Detour”, peaked at #4 on the CMJ Radio Charts and stayed on their Top 40 Chart for 14 weeks.  All About Jazz gave the album Four Stars, saying “The Interplay Jazz Orchestra…completely outdoes it self with “Detour”.  The band’s June 9th performance marks the fist of many at The Jazz Loft.  Starting in July, the band will begin a monthly residency, performing the last Thursday

of every month.
